Did You Know?
The Chinese zodiac follows a repeating 12-year cycle, with each year represented by a different animal. The Goat is the eighth animal in the zodiac and is traditionally associated with creativity, compassion, and harmony. The phrase “Three Goats Bring Bliss” reflects an auspicious Chinese expression connected with good fortune and positive new beginnings, making this design especially meaningful for Lunar New Year celebrations.
Plum blossoms also hold special significance in Chinese culture. Because they bloom during the colder months, they are often associated with perseverance, resilience, and hope. Together, the three goats and plum blossom tree create a meaningful composition that celebrates harmony, family, and renewal.

Design & Presentation
Three Goats and Plum Blossom – Reverse Design
Designed by Natasha Muhl, the reverse portrays three goats at different stages of life grazing peacefully beside a plum blossom tree. Inspired by the traditional “Three Goats Bring Bliss” theme, the artwork combines symbols of family, prosperity, resilience, and renewal. The Chinese character for Goat and The Perth Mint’s distinctive “P” mintmark complete the detailed composition.
King Charles III – Obverse Design
Designed by Dan Thorne, the obverse of each coin features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III. Surrounding inscriptions identify the coins’ weight, fineness, and monetary denomination, completing their official Australian presentation while providing a contemporary counterpart to the traditional lunar imagery featured on the reverse.
Three Sizes, One Elegant Lunar Design
The set features three silver proof coins in different sizes, allowing collectors to experience the same detailed artwork across a coordinated collection. The 2 oz coin provides a larger canvas for the intricate design, while the 1 oz and 1/2 oz coins offer beautifully proportioned interpretations of the same Lunar Year of the Goat theme.
Exclusive Limited-Issue Lunar Collection
With an issue limit of 1,000 sets, this release brings together three distinctive silver proof coins in one coordinated collection. The 2 oz coin has a maximum mintage of 2,000, the 1 oz coin has a maximum mintage of 7,500, and the 1/2 oz coin has a maximum mintage of 5,000. Combining these three sizes in one set creates a memorable collection piece and a meaningful gift for Lunar New Year celebrations, special occasions, and collectors of Australian Lunar Series III.
